The 3M Littmann Electronic Stethoscope Model 3200 has proprietary Ambient Noise Reduction (ANR) technology that cancels out, on average, 85% of ambient background noise that can interfere with the auscultation experience. Snap tight soft-sealing eartips provide a comfortable fit and a tighter seal from ambient noise. State-of-the-art sound sensor provides a lifelike sound experience similar to a high-end cardiology stethoscope. Frictional noise reduction technology helps reduce handling noises compared to other stethoscopes. Up to 24X sound amplification. Rugged design for years of trouble-free operation.
Includes FREE Zargis StethAssist Heart and Lung Sound Visualization Software designed to visualize what you are hearing, allow playback when convenient, facilitate storage of sounds in patient records or transfer to colleagues for further analysis.
This is excellent. My old electronic stethoscope of different brand got lost and this replacement is far better. Even over plastic hearing aid tubes this performs very well, my students like it very much also. It is excellent for those with or without hearing impairment. It is worth the money.
Would have given it 5 stars if it were MAC friendly. Great set of ears, good for reducing background noise.
I wear BTE hearing aids and have tried various ways to use them with a standard stethoscope. I even tried ITE hearing aids but it was painful to use the stethoscope. Now I just remove them and use the amplification! Low sounds have always been easy to hear but now I hear everything much easier and I am picking up a bruit or two along the way as well. I love this stethoscope.
I am happy with the quality of the stethoscope but I am not happy with the personal engraving on the Binaural Tube. Due to the color (gold) is not visible since the Binaural Tube color is plum. I wish it would have been white so it would be visible.
This stethoscope was a hit at our house when we presented it to a newly graduated (techy) Nurse Practitioner. The cardoiologist who tried it out declared that the noice-reduction earpieces and volume-adjustable sound are wonderful for assuring you don't miss the murmur of aortic insufficiency. All agreed the instrument was worth the price.
