I work PRN in OccMed and a little over a year ago I started having to travel frequently for the job. While I could wear Civies I decided to try scrubs to simply my wardrobe and, also, because scrubs are lighter to pack and carry. My first set of scrubs, which I got from Allheart, were very basic Unisex scrubs I had a seamstress make some modifications so they fit my needs a little better, but they accomplished the intended task. A little over a month ago I decided to upgrade and I bought these Dickies EDS scrubs. Bad choice. While I enjoy some of the features, I would never recommend these scrubs for travel. They simply do not travel well. Regardless of whether you carry them in a garment bag or fold them and place them in you travel bag, they will hold onto any crease caused during travel. These scrubs are pretty much the definition of Permanent Wrinkle. My previous el cheapo scrubs would wrinkle/crease during travel but hanging them up overnight would allow most of the wrinkles to fall out. Not these. The only thing that's going to get wrinkles out of these scrubs is an iron. And then there are other problems. The main chest pocket isn't strong enough to support pens. It begins sagging after a couple hours with two light weight pens clipped in it. Then, the pants have a really weird cut to them. When I get the waist and the fly where they need to be, on me, the crotch is some where just above my knees. If I get the crotch where it should be, the fly is too high for anything but scratching my navel, should it itch. And I hate the velcro on the back pocket. You have to fight it to get the pocket open, and before you can get your wallet, or whatever, into the pocket, the velcro closes. I really expected a better product from Dickies. These scrubs are easily the worst investment I've made in a very long time.
