Patented outsoles combine a variety of materials for shock absorbency, skid resistance, stability and support, protecting feet, legs and back from concussion and fatigue.
High toe box and generous forefoot width promote maximum comfort and blood circulation.
Anatomically contoured arch support, rocker bottom soles, and slightly raised heels ease leg and back muscles during long hours of standing or walking.
Upper designs approximate the natural contours of the foot for comfortable fitting and are made of the highest quality leathers in a wide variety of colors and tannages.
Full-length socklinings are made of nonallergenic, vegetable-tanned leather, proven most effective for the absorption and evaporation of foot perspiration.
Box Leather: Ideal for hospital & restaurant use, box leather has a smooth, clean finish with natural irregularities removed. It's also referred to as "finished" or "corrected" leather. It is the easiest leather to maintain and can be wiped clean with soap and water.
Oiled Leather: Heavily oiled, matte-finish leather with high pliability and moisture resistance. It is often referred to as "distressed leather" because naturally occurring blemishes are often visible below the surface, making it suitable for rugged outdoor wear. It has a pronounced pull-up, which allows surface scuffs to be easily worked out with the fingers while stubborn dirt can be removed with Dansko’s Oiled Leather Restorer. (If weatherproofing is desired, we recommend using Dansko’s Beeswax Conditioner with lanolin.)
