The original MDF® Pulse Time™ Stethoscope with timing apparatus enables medical professionals to maintain eye contact with patients during diagnosis. The Pulse Time™ provides professionals with a more efficient and patient-friendly method of monitoring vital signs. (USA pat. no. 5252787 & China pat. no. 87572)
Chestpiece: This innovative, patented Pulse Time™ chestpiece is equipped with a 24-hour liquid crystal analog (LCA) quartz timepiece. The advanced chestpiece is made of lightweight anodized aluminum and fitted with a unique raised ultra-thin fiber diaphragm for greater amplification and transmission of heart and lung sounds.
Acoustic Tubing: Constructed of thicker, denser, latex-free PVC, the Y-configuration non-stick acoustic tubing provides insulation for superior sound transmission and seals out ambient noise while preventing the cracking and wearing that can occur from repeated use. The longer-than-average length allows a comfortable space between health professional and patient.
Acoustic Pyramid Chamber™: A patented internal metal-alloy chamber located in the acoustic tubing below the spring keeps the tubing channel open for maximum sound transmission into the headset.
ErgonoMax™ Headset: Hand polished, pre-angled chrome-plated brass headset features a patented internal dual-leaf spring construction for durability and custom fit. Soft silicone ComfortSeal™ eartips (available in standard and small sizes) are clear for hygienic purposes and conform to the ear to seal out extraneous noise while ensuring comfort during extended use. Patented SafetyLock™ eartip adaptors lead the industry in user safety.
Included Accessories: 2 extra sets ComfortSeal™ eartips, spare ultrasensitive fiber diaphragm, and ID tag.
i bought these ears because i cant validate spending 100+ for a nice stethoscope ive been a nurse for 5 years now and have gone through about 400 dollars worth of ears .... its crazy when you work registry they just seem to vanish either way these ears are great for the price clear cardio/pulmonary sounds they rival my higher $ sets the clock is digital easy to reprogram and it stays on time i will buy another in another color
I bought the stethoscope thinking that the clock part would come in handy, which it did. It was an hour off, but we are close to daylight savings time, so I figured I would leave it as is. I really liked the light blue color, it went with my uniform, no one else has this color at work. And I could always locate it. But I actually just wrapped it up to return it after one day trial. 1) The tubing is too flimsy and thin. The stethoscope wouldn't stay put around my neck. 2) Because the tubing is flimsy and thin, the sounds are not as good as I need for heart and lung sounds. I am returning it for the Cardiology Specialist which I had previously and gave to someone who really needed it, and I had it broken in so nicely too! I have to remember that you get what you pay for. If I have to pay triple the price of the pulse time stethoscope, so be it, I need to be accurate. The Cardiology Specialist needs to come in that light blue color also.
