Nurse Mates Women's Callie Nursing Shoe

I am just beginning nursing school, and we are required to purchase "nursing" shoes. Nursemates are the only brand that make my size (12), and after much debate I went with this model because it is recommended to wear a medium-height heel to relieve back pain. I just received the shoes, and they are very comfortable and true to size. However, the very first thing I noticed when walking around my house is that they are not a slip resistant shoe. I don't understand why Nursemates would chose to make anything that is not slip-resistant, as the workplace can be a very busy place. After spending as much as I did, I will be truly disappointed if my school makes me purchase an additional pair because these are not slip-resistant. I would just exhcange them now, but I've got only one week before classes start and therefore I must keep these for the time being.

This is the first pair of Nurse Mates shoes I have purchased. I just graduated from nursing school and needed a shoe for the Pinning Ceremony. I have only worn them at pinning so far but I was surprised at how comfortable they were. I have worn sneakers for my clinical rotations thinking that they would be more comfortable than any shoe but these Nurse Mates are very cushiony. They are true to size and though I was afraid of the heel at first (I am 5'9"" and don't need extra height), I think the heel helps give good support.

These are very comfy! I was worried they were too tight initially but they stretch a little and form to your feet. Great quality and look professional!
