This cardiology stethoscope from W.A. Baum features a precision-machined stainless steel dual head chestpiece, valve stem and binaural. A dual binaural spring is incorporated inside the tubing to reduce bulk and weight. Non-chill rings are fitted to the diaphragm and deep cone-shaped bell receivers for patient comfort. Soft eartips ensure a comfortable, correct fit. Two separate channels in one piece of non-latex tubing. Extra eartips and a replacement diaphragm are included.
I find the accoustics to be excellent. I used to use a Littman cardiololy stethescope with the singe head which is supposed to act like a bell with increased pressure. This didn't work out well for carotid artery auscultation. This Baum stethescope is the conventional two headed style which works out well. The selection of various ear tips is plus.
