I love these things! I have been using them for about eight years.
I am the parent of a medically fragile child with essentially no venous access. The first time we saw these was when she was being accessed by a member of the IV team at Children's Hospital Boston. My daughter's IV placement was successful and her skin wasn't torn apart in the process--major win! My partner is a phlebotomist, so we sought them out. While the cost may be prohibitive, these should be mandatory for patients with difficult access!
Excellent service and my items arrived in just a couple of days. Thanks! I've told others in the clinic and hospital where I work about Allheart.
This is easy to use, doesn't pinch the patient and is more fun to look at then traditional ones
Excellent! So easy to use and patients love it...it is not the kind that is like a rubber band that can pinch your skin when tightened...It has a snap on it and is very easy to release with one hand when ready to stop the blood draw....Love it...I have 2 in fact that I just love....Highly recommend this product to anyone that needs to gain vein access....Cheers!
I love using this tourniquet on dogs at my veterinary clinic! It goes on easy, doesn't pinch the skin and fur like the rubber cord style, and you can release it slowly or take it completely off with one push. Worth the money.
Easy ordering, fast shipping, very good price
Very easy to use.
Very easy to use.
Very easy to use, patients love it, too.
I bought the colorful tourniquet. It is fun to play with and certainly makes the veins stand up and wave. I am a little disappointed because I was expecting to be able to wipe it off with an antibacterial wipe (because it can be autoclaved). It turns out to be colorful elastic, like elastic in the waistband. It will definitely absorb fluid and won't be de-germed with a wipe.
I find this to be the best tourniquet to use because it is very easy to apply and release.
I have been using these tourniquests for the past 20 years and find they are easier on a patients skin, unlike the rubber ones that tear the elderlys skin. The one hand release and loosen is a relief incase you have to tighten a tourniquet again then you can just pull one handed, otherwise you end up resticking a patient. We all know that with a restick it is hard on a patient. Only wish there was a pediatric size. Still having to use rubber on a child.
I am not the best phlebotomist but certainly not the worst but with this tourniquet I have achieved success where I normally wouldn't.
I work in a clinic where several patients have very poor venous access. They would complain about the rubberband type tourniquets a lot. However, this tourniquet does not pinch and the pressure can be adjusted easily. Wipe it down with a 1:100 bleach solution and it is ready to go for the next patient.
I love these, I am a vet and I use them with dogs and they work great!!!
I love this product. It's easy to use, kids love it, and it doesn't bruise my geriatric patients.
Plastic latching parts break easily or fail to lock after a few usages. Also, plastic parts become unglued rendering tourniquet useless.
As hospitals cheapen the tourniquets that they provide, they have become so flimsy and thin that they roll in upon themselves and painfully cut into the patients' skin. I came to the point years ago to purchase a few of these tourniquets. I just purchased enough to supply our Pre-anesthesia area and the nurses are delighted with them. Our patients complain less of pain and as predicted the success rate of IV starts has increased because the tourniquet function is better.
LOVE IT! Everyone in EPT school wants one!
Easy to use and much more comfortable for the client. I do insurance physical and I bought this for my use because I was frustrated with the tourniquets supplied by the company. I love it and I'm getting an extra one just in case I need it but I also found the manufacturing site where you can buy replacement parts if needed. I've been using mine for 5 years and it never fail to perform.
1. You have so much more control on how much pressure you are putting on the patient's arm.2. You can lessen the pressure AND/OR pull it tight to increase pressure with one hand.3. You don't pull out hairs on the patient's arm putting it on or taking it off.4. They are so much easier to use than the ""OLD FASHIONED"" rubber torture straps.5. My patients love this tourniquet.I will buy my own if my boss didn't buy them for us to use.AWESOME
