Recomendation per his Medical School
i'm very happy with theis stethoscope. i have a 20 yr-old HP sprague-rappaport that i can't get all the parts for. i don't care for Litman's.i think the sound through this is superb.i do think the length could be 2-3"" shorter.
This is my second Tycos. When I was a resident I rotated thru Cardiology and this is what the Doc used, He ordered me one and I've had it for almost 20 years. I just ordered another one for another office. It is THE best stethoscope on the market. These old ears do not hear as well as they used to (too much rock music LOL) but with this stethoscope you can hear all the detail. You won't be sorry.
I have used a Litmann for the past 12 years until it broke. The Harvey DLX was recommended by a cardiologist friend and I am amazed at the clarity.
Stethoscope gives very clear sounds when auscultating lungs and performing blood pressures. As heart sounds are not typically done in the field I have no comment on this area.
I bought several high end stethoscopes of different brands before finding this one. It is wonderful! I have hearing loss in both ears and this stethoscope helps me hear the faintest of lung sounds. My co-workers are impressed with it as well.
