This penlight will make all other penlights look obsolete. It has a high-end appearance and last a long time, mine was bought in 2005. The bulb went out once but that's because I played with it and tried to repositioned the light bulb. Dont ever wear this penlight outside your white coat because people will just keep borrowing it, and may walk away. The brightness is just unbelievable and it is not LED or blue-tinted light, it's halogen 100% which is crucial because that's the wavelengths that show the true color of the tissue. The mechanism is decisive, it's either on or off, not in between. You dont have to press harder this way or softer that way to have brighter beam. The material is high quality, the mechanics is masterfully engineered and the look is very professional.
I bought this penlight about four year ago and it's still going strong. It has a very professional look and feel to it, unlike almost all other penlights. The light is incredibly bright, but I never shine the light directly into patients' eyes anyway (was always taught to shine at an angle). I would definitely buy this penlight again, but am looking into the LED version for longer battery life.
