The idea for Healing Hands scrubs came to founder Bansi Lakhani in 1997, when he suffered a heart attack. As his nurses helped him recover from surgery, the sportswear manufacturer was struck by how ill-fitting the uniforms were and resolved to design better medical uniforms. Lakhani eventually recovered and made the pivot to scrubs in 2008, and Healing Hands was born. This sportswear influence can be seen in the athletic, contemporary styling of Healing Hands scrubs.
